All of the games have sound, so you can listen and check your understanding, practice conversation, or just listen and repeat. Future Tenses Games

- practice forming the future tense for English statements, questions and negatives. Practice the future tense using "be + going to + verb" with these fun games. You can practice spelling, vocabulary, speaking, questions and answers, as well a grammar with these free online activities for children.

This game focuses on the future tense with four main sections. There is a future tense vocabulary practice section and a verbs spelling section. Then, there are some games for practicing using the future tense in conversation and games for listening practice. The question and answer activities are associated with the ESL Curriculum for Kids - Unit 14.

The questions and answers for this game are as follows.

  • A: What are you going to do tomorrow?
  • B: It's a bear.
  • A: Are you going to watch TV tonight?
  • B: Yes, I am./No, I'm not.

Other notes:

  • There are several time indicators used in the grammar section of the activities.  Students will practice use of "later", "tonight", "tomorrow", "next week" and "on Saturday" in their construction of future tense sentences.
  • The grammar games mix first, second and third person to practice conjugation of "be" and solidify the grammar rules. The vocabulary sections and listening activities only use the third person.
  • The verbs in the spelling section will take the root word, infinitive, the verb in the future for of precisely "be going to ~", and the verb with a direct object. As an example - do, to do, do homework, be going to do, be going to do homework
