This game focuses on verbs with four main sections. There is a verbs vocabulary practice section and a verbs spelling section. Then, there are verbs games for conversation practice and games for present participle practice. The question and answer games and grammar games are associated with the ESL Young Learners Curriculum - Unit 5.

The questions and answers for this game are as follows.

  • A: What are you doing?
  • B: I'm cooking.
  • A: Are you cooking?
  • B: Yes, I am./No, I'm not.
  • A: Are you cooking
  • B: No. I'm not cooking. I'm eating.

Other notes:

  • The spelling game will accept the vocabulary word as is, "eat", in the infinitive, "to eat", or the present participle "eating". 
  • In this game, the present tense is only presented in the first and second person, "I" and "you".  The conversation exercises and grammar games are presented as "A" and "B" talking to each other, while the picture represents the correct action or answer.
