This game focuses on asking about and expressing emotions and feelings in English with four main sections. There is a feelings vocabulary practice section and an emotions spelling section. Then, there are feeling games for conversation practice and games for listening practice. The question and answer games and grammar games are associated with the ESL Young Learners Curriculum - Unit 3.
The questions and answers for this game are as follows.
A: How are you today?
B: Good, but I'm a little hungry.
A: Are you hungry?
B: Yes, I am./No, I'm not.
A: How is he today?
B: OK, but he's a little sick.
A: Is she hungry?
B: Yes, she is./No, she's not.
Other notes:
The spelling game will accept the vocabulary word as is "hungry"
It's uncommon for English speakers to "complain" in casual greetings. So, in the question and answer section you'll see more natural answers for feelings and emotions that are negative in connotation. For example "sad", there is a common, slightly positive greeting followed by the negative emotion: "OK, but I'm a little sad."
In the grammar section there is some emphasis placed on learning English punctuation and grammar rules such as starting a sentence with a capital letter, contractions, usage of commas, and punctuation.
